defender heritage grill

Black > Silver, but either would be great.

Has to work WITH A/C. The target truck has A/C.

Oval desired ("Land Rover")....

Ship to would by USA, North Carolina....for Oates.

Thanks!

Already bought it... in stainless with a vintage plate.

So a little different, but in some ways very tough.

I sent 3 emails to that German location everyone points you to...they seem to have them. No replies. So, I just went with the ebay one.

(there was only one of them...)

Call it 100 bucks plus shipping. I am sure it could have been had cheaper, but I sort of like the idea of stainless steel. And his ebay posting said "not shipped to the USA."....had to sort of make that happen.

How do you guys feel about powder-coating or painting it black? I am torn.

Sadly, you didn't buy a Heritage Grill. What you have there is a common knock-off. But if you're happy with the look of that, then awesome find. The Series plaque looks good - I think you can still get them through Falon Nameplates.

The genuine heritage grills look like this. Here's mine - you'll notice the holes are different:

Well, I'll see what it looks like.

If bad, I'll do something else. Hey, if you wouldn't mind I could use the help to find one and you seem way more connected than I am.

Ideally: Black and A/C compatible. For Oates.

Thanks ! I do like how your truck looks a lot.

That doesn't look right to me for a 90 with AC. Shouldn't it look like this?

With A/C usually implies the grill cowel is bumped out a few inches from the front of the hood. The grill in your link is probably for one without A/C, as it's a long and flush one-piece grill. I personally don't like the look of it. I prefer the heritage grills of the same dimensions (roughly) as stock...like this.

So, then, what's going on with the one posted by the OP? What's that notch at the top?

The notch is probably to cover up the "newer" Land Rover or Defender plaque with the Heritage badge or something. It doesn't look like it serves any real purpose.

I have to agree...and in black these look pretty darn nice, so I plan to get a black real one and use my oval.

After all of that, got a nakatanenga and they were super.

Black grill on its way. Cost was 116.80 Euro's and 52 Euro's shipping.

Putting an oval on it. Done.

This is the most affordable option. Falon has ovals and can ship (and is quite snappy at responding to email inquiries).

Both work with paypal. So if you want one of these, go this route.

Yep, like I said Falon Nameplates has good copies of the plaques.

Just make sure they don't try to charge you VAT, as they love running that scam.
