Defender body panels

What's the cheapest place to get replacement sheet metal panels (wings, bonnet, quarter panes)? I want to replace all the dinged and dented up ones with new ones.

Check with George @ Rover Down South.

What year model and exact panels are you looking for?

I got my panels with patience off this board and elsewhere.
Know what you need and when something comes up get it.

I replaced my front outer wings with genuine parts from RN, rear tub corners from SP Landrover (UK), and one front headlight panel from Rovers Down South.

George still has body parts, but they're limited to what he has on his web site.

What I've found is that no one vendor has the best prices, so you have to look individually for each part. Good luck!

Me too - if you're patient, they'll all come up at one time or another. But I used to get body parts from TNTLR - who bought up that stock?

When you're only 20 minutes from the seller's house it sure helps. I'm gonna take it down to the frame and rebuild it from the ground up. Not that it's that bad, but I'm just anal that way. I want it to look brand new. Stay tuned for a build thread.

I just text the seller to see if he could talk and thought I would get some additional info on 3-Link suspension while waiting. FIrst thread is this one so guess it is not meant to be. Congrats on a great find. I will be quicker on the draw next time.

If you going doing to the frame...replace the frame with a Galvy one. There is no point in dipping your toe in the water, jump in! why put all new sh*T on an old frame. besides it should really help the resale value especially if the truck ever goes up to the North East. IMHO.

The frame is in perfect shape. The previous owner rolled it on some sand dunes in CA. It needs a lot of body panels. Also, it has almost no rust. I'm thinking it must have been out west it's whole life.

Any luck finding panels? I need a right rear quarter and the right rear panel behind the Land Rover plate... I've been trying to get quotes from body shops to repair all of my dents/dings and repaint, but they're all baffled when it comes to finding replacement panels. I may have to go the bondo route if it becomes a hassle...

I recommend getting the right rear panel from SP Land Rover in the UK. Shipping is dirt cheap and they package it very well.

Please do not use bondo.

I'd rather not use bondo, but to be honest the dings/dents/creases in my panels look horrible in my opinion, but aren't deep at all... I don't see why a little bit of bondo to level the areas would be that bad.

I checked SPLandrovers.com and I couldn't find any quarter panels. I did see the rear panel.
