DBA Brake Rotors

Looking for some new DBA rotors for the rear to replace one that got thrashed by a pebble. I'm looking for the Longlife Gold, preferably vented and slotted.

Out of stock. I think I may have bought mine from GBR because EE didn't stock the vented+slotted type. I sent emails to both...we'll see. The longlife golds seem to have disappeared from DBA's website.

FYI rear rotors are solid, not vented.

It's not a groove, just lots of nasty pits.

These are rear rotors and yes, they are vented. I special ordered them from GBR.

It looks like DBA has moved onto a new replacement model. These look kind of cheesy and I'd prefer the original type but I may have to go with this one if I can't find them:

No Chris, the defender rear rotors you are looking for are DRILLED and SLOTTED but not VENTED. Vented vs. solid has nothing to do with fancy aftermarket rotors, it has everything to do with what will and won't fit though. I can explain:

- the defender front rotors ARE vented
- the rotor shown in that photo IS vented, drilled and slotted (it is NOT a d90 rear rotor)
- NO defender rear rotors are vented
- again, defender front rotors ARE vented

Watch this video: http://youtu.be/OufsNqeIXd0

NAS D90 fronts, in addition to being vented they are drilled and slotted

NAS D90 rears, in addition to being solid, they are drilled and slotted

Probably because it is not even a Land Rover brake rotor in the photo?

Indeed, you are right. My memory is going out on me. I even have a photo of my non-vented rotors:

So it looks like I'll go with the SafariHP option.
