And I'm an idiot! Yup! I got so damn excited I never noticed. Sorry. One of the previous owners had all sorts of crap mounted on mine so I am riddled with screw holes!

Why not get a trim shop to recover yours?

How much are you looking to spend? They are still available new from the dealer for about $200. I've got one in my stash that I bought less than a year ago from the KC land rover dealer, http://landrovermerriamparts.com/

Seriously? A stock or available dealer part? I don't think I've ever bought anything for my 90 from a LR stealership. That would actually be a semi-interesting experience! ;-) $200 wouldn't be bad considering the recovering estimates I've gotten. It's got three cracks around the defrost vents and ashtray and 6 holes in groupings of three from ancillary mounts. Thank you both for the heads up and link.

Unbelievable. Curious if they actually have any in stock.

Is the actual dash pad the same or different for LHD versus RHD?

Upper dash pad is the same for RHD and LHD

There are two defrost vent sizes that have been produced over the years and thus two different pads.

Yeah, the older style with the smaller vents showed to be only $160, but when I tried to order that, they couldn't get it. I'm not sure if it's because it's NLA or if because it wasn't a NAS part number. They seemed to think the latter. I still need to buy a set of the larger vents before I install it.

Vents were smaller and then grew to the longer version with VINs after FA453191 (200tdi) not sure what the NAS trucks are wearing, but I would assume it is the later version due to age - earlier dash is probably both NLA and not in the NAS system...

So are you able to do a straight swap to the style dash-pad with the larger defrost vent, from the older style dash pad with the smaller defrost vents (assuming you source the vent trim pieces as well)?

Yes. Vents are readily available - we sell for around $16 each - part number BTR912

Wouldn't I also need the parts underneath, BTR1599/BTR1600?
