d90 roll bar or trade d90 for d90

Thanks to everyone and for their help on getting help on a rear bench seat but the plot has somewhat thickened. I just bought a 95 d90 with 43xxx miles with carfax and fiberglass top. Looks and runs great but I just got off the phone with badger to get a badger II and realized that I really have a 95 'fast back'. So unless anyone has any suggestions the badger II is out. An I am sure to get those two bars to make it a full cage are nearly impossible so if anyone wants to trade cars let me know. I really don't think it is a big deal for what I want to do with it and since it is not my primary car. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Pictures and details of your truck. Color, number on rear plaque, where you bought it from, etc. Sounds like if it didn't have any of the mounting hardware in the back for the bench, then it was possibly always a fastback.

did you buy the black soft-top that was in florida. i had a long chat about that truck with them. i was after it until i realized there was no rear roll cage - the fiberglass hard-top hid that well!

Keith, the one at C&K? They are just down the street. Pics clearly show no rear cage. It was not your type of quality anyway. Not mine either, or I would have snatched it long ago. :]

I'll trade you straight up for mine. It has a Badger I though. First pic is mine for comparison - note the awesome full roll cage.

I was thinking it was this one from Condemi Motor Company; I only see no rear hoop in the one photo all the way in the back.

Thought you were Mr. Eagle-eye Josh. Those end caps aren't obvious? I thought I was the blind pew around here.

Haha, it was the inside of a Rover - I thought, "hmm, nothing much to see here" and didn't go looking around the perimeters of the photos. If it was right in the center of the shot, I would have seen it.

Roll cage

Yeah you guys have a quick eye to know exactly the 90 I got. I personally saw the hard top too and was fooled. I am impressed with the quality no fluid leaks minimal rust and everything works. I just got rid of a accord 2000 and it was a hit or miss on what worked and did not. But I am not a d90 pro yet and clearly was taken for a sucker on the cage. Hopefully I can work out something with someone on this forum and could be only a minor speed bump.

I have removed my rear cage twice over the years just for the hell of it. I have to say 90s look pretty cool without it. Throw a Bimini top on and it looks great. But, your top options are limited. My truck also has a set of those end caps with the LR logo. I think they are pretty rare? Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have taken the rear cage off several times. I usually pull it into the garage and hang 2 bungie cords or straps from the rafters and wrap them around the cantrails so it takes the weight off the C hoop - then just undue the 1 bolt at the B bar and one at the C (per side) and the 2 at the bottom of the C.... easy peasy. I used to run kinda a mock Badger half cab set up:
1 full tonneau for a 94
1 Art Vigil drop curtain
1 bikini top
the bikini top is the thing that lets in the most air.

I see you're in Missouri, would you maybe just want to turn it into a SW? Unless I'm wrong (which I absolutely could be) it isn't that crazy of a job, although I guess the thing that makes it more tempting for the ST -> SW conversion is that the $$ from selling the NAS ST roll cage pays for the conversion...
