Crossrod Eye End

Looking for a LHD crossrod eye end, the steering damper bracket that connects the draglink to the drop arm. Mine is totally fused to the old draglink and will not let go despite trying every trick in the book. Thanks.

You just need the Crossrod, no other related parts?

Jeff

give me a ring, I'd be willing to give it a go getting the old one out if you are willing to bring it over to DC.

I'll PM you my #

Thanks Guys,

Steve - Yes, just the crossrod eye at this point, but I think I may take Dave up on his offer to try and extract my old one. If you have a spare one let me know though as I want to have some options! I am upgrading to RoverTracks steering and have all new rod ends, rebuilt the drop arm, etc. Did not think the crossrod eye would be an issue but every project seems to have an unforseen challenge.

Dave, I sent you a PM. Lets give it a go. I have already resorted to near (well maybe actual) butchery trying to get this out but I am a novice.

Jeff

Excellent. if you want, we could meet for the footwell after you see Dave in DC

Good luck on extracting, I gave up and contracted my steering work out

Well the proper application of heat and hammer did the trick. Thanks again, Dave! I should be good to go.

no problem, Jeff. Glad it worked out. In other news I think there is still air in the clutch lines. Something is funky in there. Or maybe the slave is sticking. I'll probably just replace it too.

Thats a bummer, Dave. The clutch did feel a little "too" good, and that orange stuff that came out was disturbing....let me know if you need another set of hands or feet to help get it sorted out.
