Covertible top and Hardware

Just Bought '97 NAS Defender with removable hard top and I would like to add a gently used soft top. I need the the convertible top- preferably an Badger or Proline and the following parts: Header bar, Horizontal Bar, Alpine bow and Tailgate Bar kit. please email at pdellisola@fbr.com

Tailgate bar kits are available through Atlantic British.

I was looking to save the $2-$4,000 in buying new parts and a new top vs purchasing the parts new from Rovers north or Atlantic- a new header bar lists for close to $500 alone..

While I understand your reasoning, the tailgate bar I linked above is less than $80 new - for the whole tailgate bar kit (and not having to wait to find another one), it's not a bad deal at all, and your savings over used will be marginal. I only see a header bar pop up on here for sale once or twice a year, and they're still $250+.

I agree- I was really hoping that I could get lucky and find the parts separately over time inexpensively or get lucky and find the whole package...

Is that a NAS Header bar, or the ROW one you sold?

Paul,
PM me your email and I will pass it to him. His is heavy into Defenders but is not on the forum. He is currently working on a Gen4 plug and play for the Defenders which would be a 5.3, 6.0 and I think a 6.3L V8 conversion. I was over at his house on Sunday and he has already done one to his truck. Totally bitchen not to mention it is a GM and probably the second most popular V8 so replacement parts would be cheap.
