convertible top for '84 D-90

I'm looking for a convertible top and bows for an '84 D-90(UK Spec.). As I am sure most of the members know, the top and bows for this truck are virtually identical to the series trucks as opposed to the modern vintage('94-'97) NAS trucks. Galvanized bows and true canvas top with rear and side windows are what I'm looking for. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I'm in the same boat. Just got my fist Rover, an 84 D90 with a '96 300tdi + R380. I'd really love to have a soft top for it, so ANY info would be a GREAT help to me. Thanks in advance!!!

TNTLR has [had?] 110 hoop sets and STs which could be shortened to D90 spec. I think safari rover has [had?] some too.

That's different... thats a 110 converted to a ST using NAS 90 ST parts and some custom fabbed parts.

I believe isleofbones is looking more for a hoop set;

You're right. I saw 84 and glazed over which Defender GreenRover had.

They just need a regular hoop set.

Ebay has a 3/4 hoop set right now in CT for $225. Only good for pickup cabs though. Item #190366453842

But personally I would look for them over in the UK.

With the current state of the exchange rate you might want to look at buying from the UK.

I purchased a full hoopset and top of the line Mohair hood from John Craddock in the UK. The items were shipped over with my 90 so I am not sure how much shipping would be but the soft top (hood as they call it in the UK) should be cheap to ship as it is not too big when folded.

Even with shipping I am guessing the hoopset would still be less than you can get them for new here in the states. but if you could find the hoops local that might be the way to go.

FWIW the Exmoor full hood in Mohair is a really nice.

Badger coachworks also offers the Badger IV. I have no experience with this top but his other products are really nice.

Hey guys,
Thank all of you for the helpful responses! I'll def look in the UK for what I need, guess it makes sense as my D90 is RHD anyhow. She's from Aberdeen, just got to the US in Feb. Anyhow this board is great and I'm excited to be part of the community. Thanks again to all!!!

-Best
