Clay, are you taking off your top and converting to a Soft top? Most of the doors I have seen are a bit rusty. Why don't you get a new set and paint them? If you find a good source let me know.
I an changing over to a soft top but think I will use my doors for a while unless I find a deal.

Hey Mike; no full conversion for me thanks. I think I just want a set for the summer. That POE I had was nice to take the tops off, especially being offroad.

I have coniston green door bottoms, no panels, handles or tops, just doors. Considerably rusty along bottom, but if you just want them for summer may be no big deal for you. Door skins look great. Theyre in much better condition than the yellow ones being offered on here for $350. I'd take $250 plus shipping if you're interested. I was going to mount new door frames on the skins.

Wise Owl has series III door bottoms, basicly the same as the defender . They want something like $159 per door and they are NEW

I think the only difference is the door limiter.

the series doors have the limiter that slides in the door and on the defender it slide in the bracket bolted to the bulk head.

I just picked up a tail gate from wise owl for my defender. Its all drilled and bolted on. Now I need to modify for the door latch.

the doors look almost identical as the series ones, Ron can you post pics of your tailgate project? I'd like to see how you did it before I attempt mine. Is it as easy as just drilling for the hinges and then setting in the handle? Or is there some hidden pitfall lurking?

I checked the defender doors against the series today, they are exactly the same.
