That's a tall order.

Try Ashcroft Transmissions.

I would have thought it would be easier and cheaper to buy a 97 rather than retrofit this into a 94

I converted my 93 NAS 110 with Ashcroft parts and console to a ZF. Worked great. No complaints. I bought everything but the transmission from them. Bought the transmission locally. All in with local parts about $4k.

We have the Ashcroft kit in stock, it's very nicely done.

Will definitely be at HH this week!

My plan isn't to convert my 94 ST. I'm looking to pick up the parts for a future Defender purchase. Still working on convincing my wife though...

you can use the stock cooler lines from a 97 and the stock trans cooler. Or you can custom fab some lines and make custom cooler. The fittings to the trans are M16x1.5. So you can use some aeroquip ends and fab up your own solution.

I cut out the air dam and put in some mesh to get air to the cooler. But then I put on a winch and the rockware bumper, so I don't know what kind of flow it gets. When I get the diesel and auto in I plan on having a trans temp gauge, so I will be able to see if that's going to work, or build my own.

Thanks for the info! Did you address the EFI issue?

No I never did since I planned on swapping to the diesel. There is a resistor that you need to cut from the harness about 6 in from the main connector. Orange and black wire.

There is also the neutral safety switch and "brake to shift out of park" to fix if you desire. I never had either, but plan to put in something for the NSS. The whole press the brake to shift from park sounds like another gremlin to chase down the road.

And the interlock issue is also correct. You want to make sure you're not in gear when try to shift the transfer case. I did not build that feature in either.
