Broken axle ends!

I've been making an off road camper trailer and I'm using rover hubs and disc brakes on DOM tubing. I want to cap off the hubs and I'd love just the ends off a couple rear axle shafts--- usually the axle shaft breaks right at the flange, maybe an inch or less sticking off it. Do you have any? Looking for two, pretty please..... I've tossed mine when they broke and now have HD les that keep taking abuse...

Another option are front stub axles off 1987-89is RRCs which have a short shaft on a flange. If I had any broken shafts I would send them. I also suppose you could fit full good rear axle shafts and have them as spares. Someone might need them even if you don't.

Thanks guys--great suggestions and Jeff I might take you up on the flanges---let me check a little longer around town. Funny thing--I save EVERYTHING and my wife actually accuses me of being a pack rat. So bad that she goes "squeek, squeek" whenever she sees me store what she considers trash. I through out my axle end... because of her... and dammit, now I need it! pack rats unite!!!

Chris, my trailer has a Rover hub and the previous owner just made some metal discs to cover the hubs.
You might also source the old mushroom type or one piece axles and just cut the axle off---that way you wont need to weld the opening or risk loosing the dust cap.

Front drive flanges with dust caps would be the easiest I think

Or go bling with some GBR flanges

I could easily cut the axles--I have a spare pair in my basement, but I'd rather save those for a friend. The piece of metal idea has the issue that the stub axle sits a little proud of the hub so it makes a plate more work than it is worth to keep it looking nice. Briggs is send me the flanges and I am sending him beer money :-). Also I have a couple dust covers so I am all set. It will be great. I think you guys will really like the trailer being pulled by the D90---when I get closer to done I'll post it on defender source---for now the build is on the invaluable site of Expedition Portal--some seriously good trailers and campers/RV's being home grown on that site. Here is mine in progress. Fleetwood Neon Modified for off road - Expedition Portal

If you still want rear flanges, I'm pretty sure I have one in the scrap pile - I'm a pack rat too. I can check Saturday. Maybe someone else will have one too?

Oh, I should have mentioned that it's a great way to carry spare axles - thats what I do with my trailer.

What I would worry about is the axle extending into the DOM tube unsupported. That and trying to keep thing as light as possible (although things are a little heavy). Any issues with vibration?
