Boost wheels x5

I can't believe I am posting this, but I think I may go boost...

Trying to see what a set of these fetches (obviously I have seen them on the forum go for prices all over the board), anyone have boost remorse and want to cut me a deal?

JT

cupgt had some for sale for $600 with 22 lug nuts (not sure what he did with the 23rd) but I've seen them for about $200 at junk yards.

Perhaps you could help him find some at an amazing deal price instead of your huge marked-up price then?

Just be diligent. He didn't say he wants black boosts, so don't just go find and post black ones, because he's likely looking for the stock grey ones. Colors can be difficult.

I can only get new ones at the moment. The last used ones I had sold for 600 plus shipping in less than 20 min

Yeah but I'm sure you found them for far less. Come on. Your time to find them is worth nothing anyway, so just pass them along to Jason at your cost, or perhaps a slight discount. Just because you can sell them for $600 doesn't mean you should...

So I can literally call up a bunch of junk yards and ask them if they have 2003(4?) stock Disco wheels? is it the SEL they came stock with?

Yeah, I have searched a bit but haven't been extremely diligent. I need to get on the horn and keep talking to the purveyors and collectors of non running LR vehicles to see if they perhaps have a set of used (or abused) alloys. What does re-finishing usually cost?

So then were do the boost wheels come from? I have seen the disco variants online.

I will search the threads for wheel and axles specifics.

Your hunting a 98 LSE disco and it MAY have boosts. Not sure about other models but thats the most common.

Buy it, find some run of the mill alloys, swap wheels and resell it. Easy peasy
