Tim,
Check with George at RDS. If you want any tips on putting one in, I had one installed on my 94. I cut the seat box out to make room for it. It is the U.K. type. I hooked up a sending unit to the tank and a switch so I could pump the gas from the aux tank into the filler neck of the main tank. I just watch the aux gas guage until it gets low and then turn it off. The hardest part was where to put the filler neck. Mine is installed under my pass. seat. I would not recommend that just becuase I had to take the truck back 2x to get the fumes from exporting into the cab. If I had to do it all over again I will put the filler neck externally and accesible from right in front of the rear tire. That way you won't have to cut into the body. You can also try ebay and ebay canada to get one of the tanks.
If you need pics., let me know.
Clay

If George doesn't have what you want, Justin (Lucky8) sells the Safari ones as well as the ones that goes on the seat box

I have seen the safari ones on their website. Do these hang below the frame? The under-seat one won't work...too much stuff in there already!
I'm willing to give up some capacity for something that fits up above or even with the frame.

Any ideas?

I installed a 9 gal Rover Accessories saddle tank years ago. Mounted under right side & does not hang below the frame. Brief description at http://imageevent.com/jimpace/landro...i3s911.camel_s

Happy with this set up. Not sure if still available due to the fun police. Glad to answer any questions.

Saw an ad in a Rover magazine of a tank that fit behind the rear tire (yes, between the rear X member and the axle/tire). Seemed to be a great location since I assume you can reuse the filler neck and short plumbing to move fuel from one tank to the other. Not sure how it works exactly, just basing all my statement on a single low res picture.... I should probably look for the article so I can find a company name...

here is a pic of them mounted on Shrek

I will say the hang 2-3" lower ( in the pic looks lower as it was taken from below )

I have seen these too but if I remember correctly, they don't make them for the 90 (just the 110, 130) as there is not enough space. I hope I am wrong though as this would be perfect.

Nice setup for an extra tank. It says diesel, wonder if there is any problem using petrol in there. And will this fit on a 90?

They say all their tanks are stainless steel. Now, I could not see that setup on their web site. Must be new! Also since there is like 90% of diesel there, it's possible they did not even check the gasoline setup. Anyway, I thought it was good to have other ideas/options.

I actually have one of the 9 gal types that sits even with the frame and all the parts and templates that go with it. I had asked SR if they wanted to reproduce it and they never got back to me.

So if anyone knows a fabricator that can duplicate this in heavy duty alum let me know. I did get a quote locally from a welder for $600 to make it, but that wouldnt include the pump or filler neck etc.

The issue with the one I have is that it is steel and rusts, so a thick alum or alloy would be better.

Anyone interested in fabbing these PM me and we can discuss a deal.
