Arles Blue Defender 90

Or any shade of blue...

Looking to surprise my husband for the holidays...he's been wanting one for years. I think I've finally saved enough!

it's better if the truck does not need work and is ready to go. We are in CT.

Thank you!

Thank you!

Every time I hear from a dealer, they want north of 50K, but since I've been looking at vehicles on here, they are more in the 20-30K range. The dealers tell me that they completely restore them before selling so there's no hidden problems. Since I have no idea what questions to ask, or what I need to be aware of, can anyone guide me?

Much appreciated

If talking to a dealer and they tell you something like along those lines, my first question would be: "How do you expect me to swallow a whopper like that?" then, "Could you show me a list of all the work that was done by your mechanic, and all the parts that were replaced that would make a 25K truck worth 50?"

There is one a 94 Arles Blue ST i see buzzing around ridgefield and wilton in the summertime, never seen the vehicle with a top on it. I have seen it many times over the years. Arles blue is a hard color to find, there were probably only 250 sent here between 94-95 (100 soft tops), no idea how many in 97.

landroversforsale.com has a '94 arles blue for 34,999 - at least worth a look.

Just wanted to point out that the carfax on that truck shows an accident. I'm not trying to kill a sale for Stephen, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I bought my truck from Stephen and have nothing but great things to say about the experience.

Yep, saw that it occurred pretty quickly after purchase - worth calling to get specifics on whether there was frame/tub damage..

LHM Chrysler Jeep had one almost exactly like that one same mileage and an early accident in its history. And that is the same Carfax so it is that same truck. For reference they were asking either $19K or $25K depending on which ad you believed. I called on it a few hours after it was posted but was too late. I think their ad said it was maintained at LR Centerville so might be worth a call to them, maybe they know how much had to be repaired.

Thank you--I am going to check this out. I really appreciate the heads up on the accident. Maybe they fixed it and that accounts for the jump in price?

No, a specialized dealer now selling it accounts for the jump in price. According to CARFAX the repair looks like it was done in 1994 just after it was bought new.

Yep, and these guys have a good reputation.. If the wreck was resolved then $35k isn't completely unreasonable for a 66k car. Most here would want to pay less than 30.

Hi guys,
I'm starting the process with this truck. What should I be asking about? Should I inquire about the accident and see that everything is fixed?

I really appreciate the help.
