Cap removed

New cap installed

Not sure why the new cap has a dimple but for the price it's an alternative to tossing out a good nut.

Ok so is there a solid nut that covers the stud? What part number (LR or Atlantic British) for the RRC lugs that work with alloys (Boost)?

Thanks
Oscar

I gave away a used set to Pedro a few years back. See if he will pass them on. A few of them were dinged up but between those and the ones currently on your truck you should be ok.

Does anyone know of a shop selling these in black? I have seen them on a few defenders but was unable to find them for sale. Nuts for the alloy wheels, in black. Not for steelies.

I know most of you probably already knew this but the link that was posted in this thread of the lug nuts from paddock I can 100 percent confirm they are the solid lug nuts... No caps...

In the end even though the lugs are cheap after shipping I still ended paying $90.00 all together....

The new caps are actually the caps for the locking lug nuts. The dimple is for you to identify which one it is.

I'm not sure how a six sided dimpled cap over a round locking lug would work jafir...

------ Follow up post added November 7th, 2014 06:02 PM ------

Did you mean the spare lug nuts? Because those had dimpled caps, due to the longer studs on the Disco spare tire mounts, but those dimples dimpled the other direction. Those are an "outie" the cap I was showing is an "innie"

Nope outie for spare, innie for the locking lugs.

There were some locking lug nuts that you identified (out of the 5 per wheel) with a dimple, and the keyed nut was underneath the cap when you removed it. I think the caps were tin for the locking ones.

Here is an example I ran across on a fellow member's truck.

Ah ok had not seen spline locking lugs for LR, that absolutely explains the existence of RRJ100120

I'm used to seeing these Lil bastards... which can be removed in seconds using a cheap 6pt 1in socket and a hammer.
