AC Condensor Fan ('97 Defender)

I need a fan in very good condition (i.e., no water/mud crossings please). Or, if you know how to cross-ref these to another supplier that would be helpful too. I can't believe these are $350 from a LR supplier like AB or RN when they're $50 from an autoparts store.

Thanks,
Clay

Why not use a ProComp, Flex-i-lite or another aftermarket fan? You can get them cheap and in just about any size.

The original off the 97 I am rebuilding is a SPAL unit, I couldnt find an exact replacement but they do have one that will fit in exactly the same manner and in the same space PN#30102040. Ordered online for a reasonable price, but I forget the site or the exact price.

Joel, thanks for the tip. i took a look and the PN shows a 4 blade fan. Is that what you went with? My OEM has maybe 10 curved blades so I'm just wondering.

The one I have is a 5 blade fan, I did quite a bit of researching on it and if anything the 5 blade I picked is a little higher output than the one from the dealer-installed AC kit. As you can see it is not physically identical but the original mounts to some brackets and the brackets mount to the condenser. The new fan will mount in the same location that the old brackets did, so direct fit other than swapping the old harness plug onto it.
