Abs Ecu

Took the D-90 into the local mechanic and had the ABS sensor replaced last week b/c of a check engine light. Check Engine came back on and we can't get the ECU to clear the code even though all the sensors are good. So I'm looking for a replacement ECU - part Number ANR 5508 out of a 97 Defender. Anyone got one colelcting dust?

Persistent ABS Fault

I had the same problem, repeated fault P1317. Dealer diagnosed faulty RR ABS wheel speed sensor. After replacing the rear sensors (2 with the loom), still the same fault code. Then replaced the 2 rear sensor wiring 2-pin plugs. Same problem persisted, finally, I pulled out front wheel ABS sensors, cleaned, relubed- no further problem for 5 months now. This ABS sensor set-up on the 97 can be a pain, but if yours is that computer, it really doesn't cause any malfunction--just the check engine light stays on... Hope this helps, Jack
