Change the drier and get one with a switch ... It'ts only a pressure switch that closes the electrical loop when enough pressure is in the system.

I have been searching for a trinary switch for almost 2 months for a 94 D90. They are nowhere to be found. Just a few days ago I asked Rovers North again and they said they are going to be manufactured again some time soon. Could be 6 month could be next month. You know once it gets cool again you can find one.

the snow flake one is connected to the capillary tube and is actually the temperature regulation switch.. you wouldn't want it just turning the a/c on with no regulation...it might get too cold...LOL...ROTFPML....
