A/C for V8 110

Hey everyone, I'm looking to add A/C to my 88 defender 110. It looks like it is fairly straight forward from what I've read. Ideally I would like something that is a kit and is new, but $4k is not in the restoration budget right now. It seems like the vents/blower/evaporator is the major item to source. I need a setup that can put out out some air bc it gets hot down here. Let me know what you have.... Thanks

Yes. I considered using one of their center units in the front, then trying to figure out how to mount a second one under the cubby for the back. Not sure on the output in the front of just one of those center units. I think I'm leaning towards a Land Rover type full length dash type in front, then having the vintage air smaller one in the back. Any input is greatly appreciated... Thanks

Have you seen the cubby box model that RN sells?

RN has a great system. I was just trying not to spend $5500 to install A/C plus all of the dynamat and insulation I will also need.

X2, I also have an Elite brand system. I purchased it from Safari and I went in nicely.

Does anyone have experience with the Britpart A/C kit? They make several, none of which are exactly for a LHD V8. That being said, I am curious which of the ones they make that would fit my car. I got info on the DA2344 sent to me. It says it is for either right or left hand drive 2007 and newer. I can't tell if they have the blower motor on the right and controls on the left (I am trying to get a picture). I assume there would need to be some modifications to get it to work. The only reason I am asking is b/c it is about $1400 less than an elite system.

DA2342L Is for a LHD TD5 dash as opposed to the Puma dash.

So, if that is the case, it should be a direct bolt on (other than maybe the pulleys and the compressor bracket). Does anyone have this unit? Is it comparable to the Elite system. Is it the elite system, just repackaged for britpart. There can't be that many people making these evaporators. Thanks everyone.. PM sent Phoenix37
