I know some people have replaced the entire rear light with an led unit. Use the serch tool and good luck.

There were two different types of D90s in 1997...

Thread moved and old one deleted - it won't help putting it in the vehicle for sale section.

Josh is asking if you have a soft top or station wagon since the lights differ.

I dont know that I would count those as positive posts since they were to say that "you posted in the wrong section" and "your SOL".

Honestly it's more about timing than anything else. I guess your thread gets bumped by the useless posts so it is a plus in the big picture. I do get a bit tired of the hate though.

Hate is a strong word. I am not sure what you mean by that.

Probably not the best term for it. Just a general tone. People not bothering to put in the modicum of effort required to try be helpful in a positive way (as opposed to snide or aloof or whatever else), or just refrain from posting otherwise.

I certainly was not intending to be hateful in any way. I am just in need of a brake light cover and got better results on the sale vehicles forum.

Thanks

Perhaps an explanation will help you for future reference. The sections in this forum are set-up for multiple reasons, and benefit this community by keeping them as organized as possible to their original intended usage. By posting multiple threads in the For Sale-Vehicles section that have absolutely nothing to do with selling your own vehicle, you are bumping vehicle sale threads off of the first page, and therefore making it more difficult for members to sell their own vehicles. It may have the desired result for you, but that is a selfish result.

Additionally, by using the search function, you are often more likely to find the desired answer you are looking for with very little effort at all. You can then often find threads that deal specifically with your issue, and piggy-back on them with "hey, any updates here? XXXXXX said they'd be making YYYYYY a few months ago, but I don't see any updates since then". By just posting randomly in the Vehicles section, it also does not help the next person who is doing his/her due dilligence in searching, when they select the Technical section to search in, because you started your thread in the Vehicles for Sale section.

Sorry if you got the impression that my comments were directed at you, they were not.

Will Tillery aka The Roverguy or Rovaguy

He has a cave full of Land Rover crap so you could at least give him a call and see what he says.
Don't get your feelings hurt if he doesn't beam sunshine and unicorns through the phone line though.
He has a lot going on as he bought a new house and will be moving this fall.
