I'm back from the UK. Please ensure that your sending to the new email address as LRNA ownes the old address I have had for years and who knows where those messages are going. stephen at safarihp dot com

Do you literally mean you handed over the domain the LRNA? If not, it's trivial to setup an automated reply on the the old addresses to let them know to use the new one (or even forward them on) without having a website at the domain.

name

Charles,
LRNA is sending cease and desist to all of the shops that have similar names as Land Rover or Range Rover. Your new name can not contain more the 25% relationship to rover, rovers, land rover etc. It is total B.S. if you ask me. That is why you see a lot of folks changing there names right now.

I am fully aware. However Stephen's strategy of going cold turkey on his email address makes no sense and is unnecessary - unless he somehow decided to transfer his old domain name to him.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Every time I think I have meet their demands something else pops up. I've spoken to the old host and they told me that I can't have an email address without owning the domain. I turned over safari rover to LRNA and other than additional demands no help there.

If you don't own/control the old domain anymore then you are SOL, sorry. I personally would have just taken down the website on that domain and not given it to them. You taking some time to drop the old email would not have hurt them, but just hurts you.

Is your old host "shift digital"? It's in their name since 03

I tired to keep the domain as inactive or forwarded until the end of the year and that was a no go. I'll be glad when this is over but about once a week I get a new complaint from the firm representing LRNA and it seems like it will never end.

Oddly enough it seems that no one in the UK has this issue so it must just be LRNA.

Also Shift just took over the domain in August so thats strange.

Email me direct if you have control over the domain or can ask shift to make changes to it. I can help you get you old email forwarding or at least an auto reply - which I can't see LRNA having an issue with. I'm not sure I can help with the other compalints but I can try - if you go to your old domain you get a 404 response (not found) and I assume they really want it to just fail/timeout. Easily done if that's the case (again as long as you can make changes to the DNS records for your old domain).
