4.6 crank and rods

don't need the block or pistons just the crank and rods.

don't mind one that needs to be micro polished but not interested in burned or scored

sounds good Clay. I have missed a few cheap slipped liner blocks on craigslist and figured I'd see who has what squirreled away here

I have a whole block 4.6 bosch 2004 that has bad head bolt threads. Crank looks great. Pistons etc are great. No issues except the center upper threads are pulled out on both sides. If you're interested let me know.

Well one side upper center bolt ALREADY had a half-assed hellicoil. Replaced with proper long insert and it felt odd at the initial 15 ish torque. Then pulled out about half way through the first 90 degree turn on new stock bolts, threads well chased, cleaned with brake clean and blown out/checked and then bolts lightly oiled etc.

The other side - same hole, upper center felt odd after the first 90 and on the second pass it immediately let go.

The block had been hot clearly and destroyed the alloy. It's a planter.

But I'm pulling the good parts from it and sending them to Doug.

Cheers
