24 spline HD rear axles for 93 RRC

I popped my rear diff and managed to scrounge up a rear diff with a Tru-Trac installed. Problem is my 93 RRC has 10 spline rear axles. I am needing to change out to the 24 spline and would like to do something Heavy Duty. Just thought I would check here first.

thanks
Craig

Unless you are running big tires, stock 24 splines should be fine with a TT.

Nothing huge, 245/75/16 with a 300tdi so some pretty good low end torque, but I am more of a finesse driver. Like to pick the right line more than just powering through.

Just run stock 24 splines then. They are cheap used.

if you must go HD try Justin at lucky8llc as he sells the Ashcroft or you could go with GBRs for more money. I am running the Ashcrofts.

I picked up a set of used stock 24 spline and will see how it goes. $150 for those vs $528 + shipping for the Ashcrofts. I know you get what you pay for, but I have not had problems even with my 10 spline so thought I would give this a go first. Thanks for the advice.

$150 shipped is fair.

x2 I've run stock 24's in my 90 with a TT in the front and Detroit in the rear for 8+ years/80,000 miles with no problems on 255x85's. The advice i took fron GBR early on is to have my shaft be weak link as opposed to the diff/locker.
