I picked up a non genuine one from Rovah farm a year or two ago and it has worked great. The price was reasonable.

Pendy has one that is a higher output 130amps i think. Required a little work to get it in but nice to have the extra juice. Just PM him.

That depends if it is a Disco or Defender setup. The Disco setup can use the normal 300TDI 100 Amp alternator. For the Defender setup, if RHD, you can make larger ones fit, but LHD is very tight. Britpart just came out with a 120A one that they claim fits... http://www.britpart.com/parts/repair...e-kits/da1195/

Not sure how good you think the price is, but here's a link:

My truck is a RHD 'Defender 200 TDI'. I'll have to take my time and see what went wrong with the current and most viable replacement.

Cheers!

Alternator 200 TDI

Jason- I have a defender 200TDI in the same boat looking for a higher capacity alternator. Did you come up with anything?

Like I said, I got one from Pendy...130amp for defender 200 tdi. Works perfectly, keeps up well. Required just a little work to get it in. PM Pendy and ask him. I'm happy to share the lessons from my install.

I aren't dug into it yet. Is it possible to clean the brushes or service my existing? I only did the pull the positive lead off the battery and the truck died. But prior to this it was working, I believe off an on as I drove. Due to vehicle stalling at random times. I plan on pulling it this wknd and having it tested. I appreciate the help on this from all. Any chime in's are welcome. I.e part numbers for new alternator and or where I can order one when needed.

As always your time is appreciated.

Jason

"I aren't dug into yet". Ha ha I promise this wasn't due to my illiteracy.

The bold face is hard to read on a screen. Too much for my eyes to.

This might work depending on your set up.

No. As the ad states, it is for Discovery 1 engines.

Press F5 and refresh the page.
That is an eBay browser interface problem that happens every now and then.

As John mentioned this is for the 200TDI Discovery I engine.

We might have a 100 amp for the 200TDI complete with heat shield that mounts in the stock location... (we have these for the 300TDI)
Let me check this weekend to see if the pully will swap and the mounting brackets match.

Hey! Can anyone tell me what the size of the rear hex/Allen bolt holding the alternator on is!? I tried a 9mm hex/Allen. Almost right fit. I'm gonna have to buy it or loan it and was just curious. Thanks!
