2.5 Turbo Diesel

I'm trying to find a 2.5 Turbo Diesel head (19J). Mine came back from the machine shop they told me to get a rope and use it as an boat anchor. It won't function as a head anymore. If I can get any leads they would be greatly appreciated.

I have a couple import clients who have installed 19j's just to get their trucks through customs. I am certain they would sell you the entire take out engine if you aren't in a hurry

If I purchase another whole engine myself and the diesel are going to become bunk buddies in the garage. I'm really wanting to source a head. If one of your clients would be willing to part one of those 19js. I'm the go to guy.
Thanks
Bruce

I'm still trying to locate a good 19J head. Anyone having info on where I can find one here in the US would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Buy a whole engine, strip off the head, injector pump and any other ancillaries (starter, alternator) and drop off the block at a metal recycler. You get your top end, a few spares to keep or sell and you get to sleep in your bed. Win - win in my book.
It beats looking at your static truck for 6 more months.

What's the matter for UK? Here's one on eBay... Also turner has them rebuilt for like $850 if you're into that

If I'm reading that parts catalog correctly, it looks like the 2.5na uses the same head, that might help you find one easier.

I have a complete engine standing here. Was running fine but low compression. Switched to 200 TDI .

If you are interested, let me know

2.5 td

The head has cracks on the number 3&4 cylinders between valves and the number 3 has a large crack between the pre-combustion chamber and the exhaust valve. The shop I took it to said it was cracked beyond a reasonable repair cost.

Well I ordered a head from the UK. Pretty pricey with the shipping but it is brand new. Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions. Hopefully my 110 is up and running in a few weeks I really miss driving it.
