2.5 N/A engine weld on frame mounts needed

Hello all from Germany! I am in need of the diesel engine chassis mounts that are welded onto the frame for the N/A diesel. I currently have a 300tdi in the 110 and putting back the original engine to bring back to the states with me. Cringe.

Let me know if you have any and I can pay by paypal if legit purchase.

Thanks

Find a local fabricator to create some bolt on mounts so you can swap back to a 300tdi at a later date.

Those are nice mounts but trying put back "unmodified" hence weld on. I tried ebay in the uk with no luck. I will keep those in mind though as last resort.

Thanks

Bolt on or weld on mounts will not be an issue…

Production date, motor type, fuel type, drive side, original chassis VIN - things that are decoded from the VIN are what you need to be concerned about for import.

mounts

Thanks all. I will check with YRM and Richards for mounts. Even if they are not bolt on I could get some backing plates and weld them to and then bolt on. Good Idea.

If you all have a set of the mounts let me know in case the places above don't have them or unreasonably high cost.

The USPS is the only way to ship over here so the one size fits all priority box is the only way to go for those to ship.

Thanks again

Frame mounts needed now in a bad way!

Okay all, I have tried the recommendations for the UK to fab some up and nothing. If you all have any laying around the shop please let me know if you want to sell them. I am down to almost 90 days and have to execute this pretty qwikly!

Thanks

If you are also swapping in a short belhousing 5 speed, you can keep the 300TDI mounts in place and then use a pair of bolt on 2.5 mounts that can be later removed when and if a 300TDI goes back in.

Any metal fabricator could turn you out a pair in half a day or less.
Wish I had some lying around, but I don't.

an alternative to looking in the US for used mounts when you are in europe is to simply buy the frame mounts. They are readily available directly from most and Defender parts purveyor. Just bought some V8 ones to put a gems v8 in an old tithonus truck.

Okay so the V8 mounts will work as well? I have seen those advertised also some 200 tdi fabbed mounts. I can check those out and get them welded to a backing plate to bolt to the frame.

Uncle Douglas can you give me your source for the mounts?

Appreciate the assist

Uh no. Point was just go buy the mounts they are readily available. 200 tdi and 2.5 natural all use the same mounting bracket, as do the 4cyl gas engines.
