1994 D90 Parts Wanted

I just bought my dream truck- A 1994 D90 # 1008 with 42,000 miles. It was in my price range and runs great- the catch is that someone took a sledge hammer to every body panel, including the dash. So far I've found a drivers side front side fender and the rear quarter fender, but I'm out everything else-

Passenger side front fender complete (top side and front)
Half door skins - (I'll probably just buy the ones from John Craddock)
Rear Passenger side quarter panel
Lower dash
The little plastic dash part that continues the lower dash to the left of the steering wheel
Rear fender flares
Tail light lenses and the rock guards
Probably a lot more that I haven't realized yet

I've owned a 109 and 1983 110 before, but a NAS Defender is the ultimate for me! Looking forward to getting involved with the forum here.

By the way, check this out. NOS NAS Defender fender side on eBay. The guy has a bunch of them, I made a best offer of $20 and won.

Wow, hope you got a deal on that thing. Looks like it got hit up with a cheese grater on some panels.

I've got a set of Fender Flares if you need them: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=28186

I also think there is a blue set of doors in the For Sale section. Just squirt them with some Conniston Green and you should be good to go.

I think the plastic dash piece can be purchased from Rovers North for like $15. And I think the taillights on a '94 are the same used on certain commercial trucks here in the US so you may be able to find those cheap if you do some searching.

Just to make you feel better, yours is not the first Conniston Green Defender 90 to look like that.

Thanks, I'll take a look for the tail light lenses and see if I can find those doors. I already have the front two flares in good shape, so I think I'm looking for a pair of the matte black ones to match. Thanks though!

No problem. PM me if you change your mind. I know the matte flares can be hard to get a hold of since they are NLA. good luck.

Yes, John. That's exactly what I was trying to do. If you read his post he already said his truck was banged up on every single panel. It's nothing he didn't already know.

In fact, you should buy my flares and replace those hideous Jeep ones you have on your Wrangler.

Makes me feel a little better, buyers remorse is still starting to settle in heavily. Luckily we have long winters here.

I'm still trying to figure out the story behind the Defender- almost looks like it was an insurance job, why bang every panel, slash the seats and tires, and basically steal nothing?

The tub is the issue. I think some people have had them listed for under $1000 used. I would replace the whole thing as opposed to trying to do sides or whatnot. Perfect opportunity to galvanize the cappings.

Dash parts are spendy too. The top bit should not be bad as it is the same as a RHD one so you can buy one cheap. The lower is very expensive, but maybe it is salvagable.

Outer fenders are $120 each new. Lower doors are ~$200 new. Hood is big money, but the important things seem to be ok ie the bulkhead and cage. I could get the tub and front fenders off in a day no problem.

I have your lower AC assembly. Just let me know and I will pull it as my condensor in front broke and I sold the compressor so I have just the parts you need left over. I also have a set of lights since I had to buy two sets to get enough harnesses.

Ron

Thanks Ron, PM sent.

I noticed how expensive the lower Dash is from Rover's North, a few nicks in it probably isn't worth $1000 to me, so I'm likely just make due or try to patch it up. Thanks for the advice!

RDS has a lower dash that is a little less spendy than RN. $800ish.

There's a tub for sale on flea bay right now. Not mine, nor do I know it belongs too.
