Hey all! Alright I'll cut to the chase. I sold my Land Cruiser and am needing to get back into a Rover. I'm looking for a 110 (or series 109) and would prefer a 5 door. RHD or LHD makes no difference. The Cruiser was my daily, so the 110 should at least drive and stop. My funds are limited but present. I have cash in hand and my wife's blessing I'm looking to make a move fairly quickly on one. Obviously with the limited funds I'm not looking for a beauty but rather a working family-mobile. I'm a good dude and will enjoy this rover for generations to come (I learned my lesson after I sold my 90). Thanks in advance for any leads.

When it comes to Rovers, wives are like politicians, and they can be bought.

Whats sort of budget do you have? I have a LHD 2.5NA 5 door for 20,500 or you can do an ex mod for a good bit less.

Hey Fellas thank you all for your input and leads! More specifically what I am looking for should probably be described as a "project 110." To be totally transparent my budget sits at $10,000 … I know that seems insane, and my grandfather would say"Boy you have a champagne appetite on a beer budget" … But in the past year I have seen three 5 door project 110's that fit the bill and I haven't been able to move on them with out the liquid cash. Well, I have it now and am ready, just don't know if the unicorns exist anymore. I have reached out to a few obvious options listed here on the board and am just waiting to hear back. Of course also as my grandfather would say "Son, beggers can't be choosers" so I am open to project Series 109's, ex-mods, 3 doors, etc.

Thanks!

A series would probably be a better option considering the budget IMO.

Did your grandfather also say...son, you're a dreamer..!!!..????....lol..and son..you get what you pay for.... And son, you're getting in way over your head.. And son..don't be penny wise but dollar foolish... And son, you sure you're prepared to take on that serious of a project (I.e what you'll get in repair costs with a 10,000 truck..rusty frame etc..)..

Like Josh said I think your best bet is going to be with something like this one.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ale-60256.html

I would recommend more pictures to make sure what you are getting but most of the tithonus truck are a nice solid base.

Honestly that is about the best you are going to get for 10K

you could probably get this one for 10k but I think someone on here checked it out and was not impressed.

Your Grandfather should have also said..."Boy, you gots skills".

If you convinced your wife/family to replace a daily driver LC for a $10K stop-n-start 110, you have software salesman level skills.

All the luck, bro!
