110 Springs

My 110 is saggy. Anyone got some nice new springs they want to part with. Looking to keep the stock ride. I have a winch on the front if that matters.

The point is if the boge is dead, you want normal non-boge springs. If the boge is not dead, you want normal boge springs or maybe just to replace the boge. It is the big tube attached the back of the axle. Put 500+lbs in the back. Measure ride height (center of wheel to fender), drive around and see if the boge pumps up and gains back the height. It is a self leveling unit.

the boge is easy to replace if you want to keep the stocker springs. Why not replace it and add those rubber isolators all the way around?

I just figured new springs would correct it. And new shocks of course
Was planning on bilsteins like in my 90.

ron, wait for the fire sale. I mean that literally. After I burn it up you can have it for 35.

Good luck finding one. Mike Craig (Land Rovr or something like that on here), bought the one I had. Not sure if it worked though.

So what about just doing the springs?
Assuming the boge worked or not I have never seen anything that says how the springs relate.

They put lighter springs with the boge. If you put non-boge springs in there it will be fine, but the ride will stiffen up.

arent there only two types
reg or heavy duty?
I thought you used heavy duty if you loaded it with gear. If not heavy duty on front with winch and reg in back.

Teach me!

If you are unlaiden the majority of the time, I would suggest reg duty rear, and HD front w/ the winch. If you carry lots of gear, junk, spares, etc the HD rear and stay w/ HD front. Use the isolaters for noice suppresion or as a leveling device. The rear isolators are the same as Toyota Land Cruiser when everyone starts telling you they don't exist. And OME makes them as well, in different thicknesses. Hope this helps. Avoid the XHD fronts unless you have a huge winch, heavy bumper, tire on the hood, and a Tdi....
